Understanding Scrollless
Choose the apps where you tend to get stuck and waste time โ social media, entertainment, games, or any app that pulls you in for longer than you'd like.
Important: Select all the apps you want to manage for Scrollless to work effectively. This prevents you from simply jumping between apps when one timer ends.
Every time you try to open one of your selected apps, you'll be asked to set a timer:
Why wait times? The delay incentivizes you to choose shorter sessions. You'll only wait longer if you're truly committed to spending more time on these apps. This creates a natural friction that encourages mindful usage.
Here's how wait times work depending on your timer choice:
During the wait time, ads may be displayed. You cannot leave this screen โ if you do, you'll be asked to set a new timer.
Once you've waited (if applicable) and your timer starts, you can freely use all the apps you've selected โ not just the one you opened. Use them however you like until the timer runs out.
When your timer expires, you'll be blocked from all selected apps for 5 minutes. This prevents the classic Instagram โ TikTok โ YouTube jump that happens when you get bored.
After the 5-minute break, the timer selection screen will appear again when you try to open any of your selected apps.
You don't have to wait for the timer to end. If you take a minimum 5-minute break from all selected apps while your timer is still running, the timer will automatically reset.
This rewards you for stepping away voluntarily!
If you experience any issues with Scrollless, restarting your phone will fix most problems. The app's process reboots with your device and typically resolves any glitches.
