Screen time, on your terms

Set a timer
before you
scroll.

When the time runs out, the apps you picked all lock at once. The next time you come back the cycle repeats.

You set a timer

When you open a limited app, Scrollless asks you to set a timer. Based on how much time you have to waste, you choose the minimum amount. The more time you select, the longer you wait before you can start using the apps.

02

You are free to use all apps

Once a timer is set, you can use all your apps freely and uninterrupted. When it ends, you get locked out of every app at the same time.

03

You get on with your day

The lock is your cue to get back on with life and put your phone away. The next time you reopen a limited app, the process naturally starts over.

02 / Why it works

Daily limits fail. Sessions hold.

The free native tools on iPhone and Android only stop you after a whole day of use, and one tap turns them off. Paid apps block better, but they charge you for the part that helps. Scrollless makes you decide how long the moment you open the app, and stops you when that time is up, not after a whole day. Blocking is free.

03 / Proof

★★★★★

Your app is genius. You don't forbid yourself from using your phone, you just use it on purpose. Exactly what I needed.

★★★★★

It solves the problem better than the apps I switched between for over five years. Keep going.

04 / Why I made it

I built Scrollless because nothing else worked for me. The built-in tools were too easy to ignore, other apps were too rigid, and the good ones hid the useful parts behind a paywall. But most importantly I was not able to decide flexibly on the situation how long I should have access. So I made my own while studying at HSG to overcome my own difficulties managing healthy phone use and helping others with the same problem.

05 / Questions

Common questions.

When you open an app like Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, Scrollless asks how long you want this session to be. You set a timer. When time is up, a cooldown of 5 minutes starts where all selected apps are locked. Setting a time first makes you decide on a limit instead of falling into hours of doomscrolling.

Yes. Scrollless is free to download and use, with a few light ads. No feature is locked away. If you would rather have none, you can remove the ads with an optional subscription at 19.99 a year.

At least 5 minutes. After a session ends there is a 5 minute break before the app lets you start another one. That gap is there on purpose, so you are not just waiting out the clock to dive back in. If you catch yourself hopping to another app to bridge those 5 minutes, add that app to Scrollless too. There are things worth getting back to.

Built-in tools set a daily limit that you can tap away in a second. Scrollless works per session, not per day. It asks you to set a length before each session and then locks all your chosen apps at the same time. You can not tap it away quickly nor can you switch to another app.

Yes. Scrollless works with any app on your phone. You pick which ones to put on a timer, whether that is Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat or even games.

Yes. Scrollless is on both iPhone (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store). The download button on this site sends you to the right store for your phone.
